Most would agree, however, that they are the core, the foundation, the "pillars" all of whom collectively offer what everyone wants: Salsa Dura or 'Hard' salsa. What is salsa dura? For us, the term means salsa that retains the basic characteristics of classic salsa: driving rhythms, call and response, and 'montuno' sections just to name a few.

More simply, it is up-tempo salsa, with an emphasis on percussion and band orchestration rather than the vocals.
